TwoCollaborate designed a training program for Pama Futures, empowering participants from Cape York to drive Land Rights, Empowerment, and Economic Development reforms autonomously.
Pama Futures aimed to address Indigenous disparity in Cape York through a comprehensive reform agenda encompassing Land Rights, Empowerment, and Economic Development. To empower the people of Cape York to lead this initiative, TwoCollaborate designed and executed a summit.
The summit aimed to equip participants with the skills necessary to autonomously organise and conduct effective forums and summits, fostering community engagement and ownership of the reform agenda. Despite challenges posed by a geographically dispersed team of 20 participants and COVID-19 restrictions, TwoCollaborate sought to ensure the success of the summit and maintain high levels of engagement among attendees.
TwoCollaborate played a pivotal role in designing and delivering a five-day summit for Pama Futures, covering various aspects of forum and summit organisation, including design, preparation, delivery, and post-activities. Despite the challenges presented by the distributed team and COVID-19 restrictions, TwoCollaborate provided innovative solutions to maintain engagement, such as virtual collaboration services and instructional videos.
The outcomes of the summit included the empowerment of participants to build programmes and forums independently, the provision of comprehensive resources and tools, and the creation of templates for future event planning.
Through its involvement, TwoCollaborate contributed to the advancement of Pama Futures' reform agenda, fostering community-led initiatives for positive change in Cape York.
