TwoCollaborate orchestrated a collaborative workshop to inaugurate the Central Coast Health & Wellbeing Living Lab, aiming to address the multifaceted challenges of an ageing Australian population through innovative, interdisciplinary approaches.
The Central Coast Health & Wellbeing Living Lab (CCLL) aims to identify needs, generate ideas, and test solutions for ageing well at home. Ageing in place presents complex challenges, necessitating interdisciplinary collaboration, stakeholder engagement, and consideration of various factors such as resource constraints and regulatory frameworks. The Living Lab methodology offers an innovative approach to tackling these challenges.
The specific objective of the workshop was to involve key stakeholders from the Central Coast health and ageing care ecosystem, to test the concept of a Living Lab, establish an inclusive community of interest, and gather insights to guide the strategic direction of the CCLL.
TwoCollaborate played a crucial role in co-creating a tailored workshop, carefully selecting over 50 key stakeholders from various sectors to participate. Incorporating multi-method approaches and diverse activities, the workshop aimed to optimise participant engagement and understanding. Held at the Gosford Health and Wellbeing Precinct, the event reflected the CCLL’s commitment to regional innovation.
The collaborative workshop proved pivotal in driving impact for the CCLL and its community. Participants gained a comprehensive understanding of the CCLL's purpose and actively contributed to refining its strategic trajectory. By aligning on crucial ageing-related terms, pinpointing and testing key challenges specific to the Central Coast, and identifying actionable opportunities, stakeholders honed the CCLL's direction and fostered ownership and commitment, setting the stage for ongoing innovation and collaboration in the region.
